Day 24

"No more pictures!"
After I took this, I realized my ISO was still set at 1600. I changed it so hopefully from here on out there will be less noise. (Hey....too bad there's not an ISO setting for my house...I could use some less noise.

Day 23

"Lil' sneak"

Day 22

"Once Upon A Time...."
So what's causing the graininess in my photos? I need to lower the ISO? I'll have to do some expirementing on a non-moving subject.

Day 21

I know...more pics of my baby. But really, pictures of my kids is what I really want to get better at.

Day 20

"For Shorty"

They're the shoes the balloon clown lady was wearing at Lake Wilderness Easter Egg Hunt.

Day 19

"Tasting dirt"

Day 18

Somehow bathtime always turns into "see what we can balance on Josie's head" time. This is a duck that lights up when water touches it. (Which is cool at bathtime but freaky when you're up at 2:00am and there's a glowing light show coming from the kids bathtub.)

Day 17

"Possibilities"

I'm pretty sure this was in Av mode set at 5.6. It seems to be what my camera will work best at.

I'm glad you mentioned those other shots Sarah. I had taken them (about 30 total) and had a hard time picking which to post. I'd love to know what you think of the other angles.
Personally, this last one is my favorite.

Day 16

Laundry Day
Again in the Miller household, I'm up to my ears on laundry day-- in pink!

Day 15

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Day 10

"Babysitting"
I was watching my neices and nephew today. It was fun to have some new subjects.

Day 9

My response to all the cool lookin' grills we've seen.

Okay, I know this is plain silly, but today was laundry day. And there was nothing pretty or artsy about it. So I did what I could.

Day 8

If any of you have had kindergarteners (maybe it's just at our school) you know about being the BIP! Beary Important Person. This week is Reese's turn. She came home today with Beary and we spent the afternoon taking pictures. The funnest ones were on the trampoline. With a fast shutter speed I was able to get some cute photos.

Day 7

-Sunday Kabobs-
Rich spent his 'sunday off' grilling.

Day 6

So I went to the pool today with my girls. I was taking wonderful pictures...jumping, kicking, diving, splashing. These were to be magnificent! National Geographic worthy pictures! Then I went to review them. I had left my memory card in the card reader at the computer. So I'm posting a pic from a couple of days ago.
I guess my camera isn't the only thing missing it's memory.
This photo is cropped. I really don't like getting too close to things with stingers.

Day 5

"My Turn"
I had to play around in a photo editor for this picture. I took it at night and we don't have great lighting in our living room, so the flash sort of washed everything out. I took it at a 5.6 aperture setting and focused on her face. I wish now I would have focused on her adorable chubby fingers.

Day 4

"Favorite Pastime"

My day 3

"Just Add Water"
I like these for different reasons. I love the colors in the first photo and her expression in the second photo. I love, Niki, how your boys look in their photos, so I tried these in b&w but her face seems to fade when I do that.

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

I spent all morning rolling around on the floor with Josie, trying to come up with some cute shots. It was a lot of fun and hard to choose what to post. Most of the pictures I took in Tv mode. The shutter had to be fast because her expressions and positions changed so quickly.

One of my true loves.

I wish the flowers had been opened but it was too cold. And I was excited to keep learning about the Av settings.

Aperture

The handle of the BBQ grill. Taken with 2 different Av settings. After almost throwing my camera out a window, this is the first time I think I understood what I was trying to do.
